25 Fully-funded Research Scholarships for European Union (Non-UK) Students in UK, 2017

The University of Nottingham is offering 25 Fully-funded Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Research Excellence. Scholarships are open to the European Union (non-UK) students, who already hold an offer to start a full-time research degree programme, PhD or MPhil, at Nottingham in any subject area.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Research Excellence aim to recognise and reward applications from outstanding international students.

The University of Nottingham is a public research university based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881 and was granted a Royal Charter in 1948.

They welcome applications from suitable candidates but would particularly value applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of each faculty.

Degree Level: Scholarships are available to pursue research programme.

Available Subject: Scholarships are provided to learn any of the courses offered by the University of Nottingham.

Scholarship Benefits: Up to 25 full tuition fee scholarships plus a stipend of £7,000 per annum.

Eligibility: Applicants can apply for this scholarship if they:

  • are classed as a European Union (non-UK) student for fee purposes and
  • already hold an offer to start a full-time* research degree programme, PhD or MPhil, at Nottingham with a start date that falls between 01 October and 01 December 2017 (inclusive), in any subject area.**

*Please note that these scholarships are for up to each of 3 years of a research programme, subject to satisfactory progress.

**University welcomes applications from suitable candidates but would particularly value applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of each faculty. Please check with individual faculties via the links below regarding their areas of research:

Nationality: European Union (non-UK) students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have their previous degree.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
