Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a female student from one of the eligible developing countries.
- Hold an unconditional offer for a Master’s program at Durham University by June 2025.
- Not hold another scholarship for postgraduate studies.
- Meet the admission requirements for the chosen Master’s program, including English language proficiency.
- Not already possess a Master’s degree.
- Demonstrate financial need and lack of alternative funding sources.

Application Process
The Hatfield Lioness Scholarship application is a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Academic Application
- Apply for a Master’s program at Durham University.
- Indicate intention to apply for the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship within the application.
Stage 2: Scholarship Application
- Complete the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship application form.
- Submit the following supporting documents via email to hatfield.development@durham.ac.uk:
- Durham University offer letter.
- Academic transcripts.
- Two reference letters.
- IELTS certificate (if required for admission).

- Selection Outcome: Applicants will be notified by mid-June 2025.
