Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is offering Thomas Mark scholarships for the students of developing countries. These scholarships are awarded to applicants who have at least two years clinical working experience specialising in the field of Paediatrics and applying for the MSc Tropical Paediatrics (MTP) at LSTM.

Eligibility: To be considered for one of the scholarships, applicants must be
- A national of a developing country
- Working currently in a developing country and planning to return to work in a developing country upon completion of the programme.
- Applicants are required to demonstrate a strong interest in research, evidenced by published papers and conference presentations.
- Applicants must have at least two years clinical working experience specialising in the field of Paediatrics and applying for the MSc Tropical Paediatrics (MTP) at LSTM.
Nationality: Citizens of a developing country can apply for these scholarships.
Entrance Requirement: Open to graduates with a medical degree and at least one year’s experience of professional work in clinical paediatrics after qualification.
English Language Requirement: The programme is taught in English. Students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of at least 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all learning components, or a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 88 for the Internet-based Test (iBT), with minimum scores of 21 for Listening and Writing, 22 for Reading and 23 for Speaking. Tests should be within their validity period of 2 years.

Deadline: Thomas Mark scholarship application forms will be sent only to applicants holding a conditional offer for the MTP. Applications for the MTP are accepted all year round, however, candidates wishing to apply for the Thomas Mark scholarship must apply for the MTP by November 30, 2016 and return their scholarship application form by December 31, 2016.
