Scholarship Description: INCIPIT is a novel international PhD programme, which aims at providing innovative multidisciplinary and intersectoral training in Life and Biomaterial Sciences.
The INCIPIT overall objective is to recruit and train a total of 35 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), through 2 Calls for applicants.
It is co-funded by the COFUND scheme (Marie Sk?Sklodowska – Curie Actions).
Applicants shall be fluent in written and spoken English. Proof of proficiency will be requested in the application and evaluated also during the interview.
Degree Level: Positions are available for pursuing PhD programme.
Available Subject: Positions are awarded in the field of Life and Biomaterial Sciences.
Scholarship Benefits: INCIPT PhD programme will include:
- Laboratory activities to carry out doctoral research projects;
- Theoretical courses run by the Doctoral Schools of the Università degli Studi della Campania ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’ (previously named Second University of Naples (SUN)), the University of Naples Federico II and the University of Catania (UNICT);
- Activities related to transferable skills.
Eligibility: Candidates shall fulfil all the criteria at the time of the Call deadline:
Academic degree: Applicants shall have a master degree, corresponding to the second level of studies. The master degree accepted will vary according to the research projects.
Mobility rules: There are no nationality restrictions. Applicants can be from any Country. However, according to the mobility rule, at the time of the application deadline researchers should not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date. Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays will not be taken into account.
Research experience: Applicants shall, at the time of the application deadline, be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and not yet awarded a doctoral degree.
Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Research Experience will be determined from the date when a researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle him or her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in Italy, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is or was ever envisaged.
