Scholarship Description: The new Leonard Davis Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship is now available for the academic year 2018-2019. Israeli and international candidates are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial aid to Israeli and International candidates.

About University: The Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations was established in 1972 at the Hebrew University, thanks to the generosity of the American philanthropist whose name it bears. The Leonard Davis Institute provides generous funds to promote the research of international studies. The Institute grants scholarships to Ph.D. students from the Hebrew University and to Israeli and overseas post-doctoral students; it also awards research grants to the academic staff of the Hebrew University.

Scholarship Benefits: The Davis Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship 2018-2019 of up to 90,000 NIS.

Eligibility Criteria: The Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations is pleased to offer one or more postdoctoral Fellowships. Applications are welcome from Israeli and International candidates working on issues related to International Relations.

  • Fellowships will be paid over a period of twelve months from October 2018 till September 2019.
  • Applicants must submit their dissertation no later than September 30, 2018, or hold a doctoral degree granted after September 2013?.
  • Fellows are expected to submit an article or other academic publication, based on their research during the post-doc period. Any publication should acknowledge the support of the Davis Institute. Fellows are also expected to be involved in the Institute’s academic and public activities, as well as organize an academic event (Public lecture, workshop etc.).
  • Fellows will be eligible for a shared office space, full access to the Hebrew University libraries, and the Institute’s facilities. Fellowship recipients are required to spend at least nine months in residence at the Leonard Davis Institute. During their stay, they are required to be present at their office at least three days a week.

Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
