University of Cambridge Fully-Funded PhD International Studentship in UK, 2019

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for Fully-Funded (Home/EU Rate) PhD Studentship (Fixed Term) at University of Cambridge in the UK. This studentship is available for overseas students.

In this project, they aim to use electrodeposition, aka electroplating, as a new nanoscale surface synthesis tools capable of achieving a superior control over surface composition.

Scholarship Provider: The University of Cambridge is one of the world’s oldest universities and leading academic centres. It is made up of over 150 departments, faculties, schools and other institutions.

Cambridge also has 31 colleges which are independent institutions, each with its own property and income. The Colleges appoint their own staff on their own terms and conditions and are responsible for selecting students, in accordance with University regulations. The teaching of students is shared between the Colleges and University departments. Degrees are awarded by the University.

Degree Level: Studentship is available to pursue PhD programme.

Available Subject: Studentship is awarded within the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy. Studentship is awarded in the field of Controlled Nanoscale Electrodeposition for Bimetallic Nanoparticle Synthesis.

Scholarship Benefits: This is a Fully-Funded (Home/EU Rate) fixed rate studentship.

Eligible Nationalities: This studentship is available for International students.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Applicants should have (or expect to be awarded) an upper second or first class UK honours degree at the level of MSci, MEng (or overseas equivalents) and should be eligible for ‘home rate’ fees.
