Scholarship Description: IREX Europe Organization is proud to offer the International Undergraduate Students Scholarships. There are three types scholarships such as Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program, Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan, Tunisia Community College Scholarship Program.
IREX seeks regionally accredited institutions of higher education in the United States to host undergraduate students for various U.S. Department of State-funded international exchange programs for the 2019–2020 academic year.
Scholarship Provider: IREX Europe is an independent international nonprofit development organization providing innovative programs to improve the quality of education, strengthen independent media, and foster pluralistic civil society development.
Degree Level: The scholarships are open to study at the degree level course.
Available Subject: The scholarships are available for undergraduate degree subjects.
Scholarship Benefits: All programs provide the following support to students:
- J-1 visa support
- Round-trip travel from student’s home city to host institution in the US
- Accident and sickness coverage
- Tuition and mandatory university fees
- Room and board (housing and meals)
- A small allowance for incidentals
- A limited allowance for books
- A limited allowance for cultural enrichment activities
- Alumni networking opportunities
Eligible Nationalities: All countries are eligible.
Entrance Requirements: All International students graduating from Maine high schools.
o Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan: outstanding undergraduate students from Pakistan for one semester of full-time, non-degree study in the United States.
o Tunisia Community College Scholarship Program: Students from across all regions of Tunisia for one academic year to pursue one-year certificate programs in the eligible fields of study at U.S. community colleges.
o Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program: Youth leaders from across Tunisia for one academic year of full-time, non-degree study in the United States in any academic field.
Application Procedure:
International students bring a wealth of ideas, knowledge, and experiences to host institutions. In addition to providing institutions with diverse perspectives, these students foster cross-cultural understanding, mutual respect, and cultural exchange on campus.
- To apply to host for any of the programs, please submit all application materials through the online application system. The online host application works best in Firefox or Google Chrome browsers.
- Selection of host institutions and placement of students is contingent upon the availability of U.S. Government funding and approval and receipt of J-1 visas by program participants.
