Scholarship Description: Natural Resources Canada, in collaboration with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Defence Research and Development Canada and the Canadian Grain Commission are delighted to offer Postdoctoral Research Scholarship Programme in Canada. Canadians and non-Canadians citizens are eligible to apply for this scholarship program.
The Postdoctoral Research Program provides scientists, who have recently obtained a doctoral degree in a field of natural sciences, with the opportunity to work with research groups or leaders in Canadian government laboratories and research institutions located across Canada. In turn, the Government of Canada benefits from new and emerging talent.
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) seeks to enhance the responsible development and use of Canada’s natural resources and the competitiveness of Canada’s natural resources products.
Degree Level: Scholarship is available to pursue Postdoctoral research programme.
Available Subject: Scholarship is awarded in a field of natural sciences.
Scholarship Benefits: The duration of the determinate period will depend on the position being staffed. These are incumbent based positions, therefore the level and salary will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate.
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

For positions at Natural Resources Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and Canadian Grain Commission only:
– Graduation within the last 3 (three) years with an acceptable doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field of natural sciences with a specialization related to the duties of the position (see a list of specializations below).
Applications will be accepted if applicants are currently enrolled in a doctoral program at a recognized post-secondary institution; however, candidates must meet the education requirements in order to be appointed to a position.
For positions at Defence Research and Development Canada only:
– Graduation within the last 3 (three) years with an acceptable doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field of natural sciences, social science, engineering or mathematics with a specialization related to the duties of the position (see a list of specializations).
Applications will be accepted if applicants are currently enrolled in a doctoral program at a recognized post-secondary institution; however, candidates must meet the education requirements in order to be appointed to a position.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to clearly identify their specialization in their application. Please refer to the list of the Specializations below.
Note: You must clearly indicate your education level. Candidates invited to the assessment stage will be required to provide proof of their education credentials, i.e., their degree or official transcript. It is your responsibility to provide this information when requested.
Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency.
