Heriot-Watt University is offering Economics PhD Scholarships for September 2017 entry. International students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
Heriot-Watt University is a public university based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was established in 1821 as the world’s first mechanics’ institute. It has campuses in the Scottish Borders, Orkney, Dubai, and Putrajaya in Malaysia.
Degree Level: Scholarships are available to pursue PhD programme.
Available Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Economics.
Scholarship Benefits: Scholarships of £14,296 (the annual stipend) plus a research support allowance of £2,250 value will be awarded.
Number of Scholarships: Three scholarships are available.
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
- All applications will be reviewed within the relevant department with a shortlisting decision made based on qualifications, the research proposal and the availability of a supervisory team. Scholarship applicants must have the equivalent of a Masters degree with an average mark of 65% or higher. Applicants who are unsure if their qualifications meet the minimum criteria should contact the PhD student administrator to discuss their application (c.a.murray-at-hw.ac.uk). Please note that possession of the minimum qualifications does not guarantee short listing for the interview.
Eligible Nationalities: International students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
