A fantastic paid internship opportunity for an ambitious graduate to support the work of a multiple award-winning charity.
My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a self-advocacy charity run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998. The charity delivers a diverse range of innovative user-led projects that enhance and empowers the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire. These established projects include a fee-earning training and consultancy team, gig buddy, computer buddy, travel buddy scheme, a nightclub, and self-advocacy groups.
We now need an organized, flexible, and hardworking individual with a real interest in developing a career in the charity sector. The amazing aspect of this role is that through training, inspection, and consultancy work you will be supporting people with learning disabilities to achieve fantastic results. MLMC is at the forefront of the drive for learning disability rights. This role will help you to build your skills and experience whilst being part of an exciting social movement. The post calls for an enthusiastic and resilient person with an unceasing ‘can-do attitude.
The intern will experience every facet of the charity’s operational delivery and be an integral part of one of Oxfordshire’s most impactful charities. We will pay keen attention to the successful candidate’s personal development needs and will invest significantly in the right candidate.
On the completion of a successful first year, we will look to offer a full-time role within the charity to the intern.
