The Global Assignments Intern supports all processes for the full life cycle of International Assignments at Plant Spartanburg to include inbound and outbound assignments, both short- and long-term. Provides administrative support, project management, process documentation, tracking and reporting.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Works with well-defined processes in the Global Assignment Area.
- Works with the main elements of International Terms & Conditions.
- Supports all coordination of onboarding, assignment management and offboarding, utilizing customer service skills.
- Assists with Global Assignments administration such as documentation, tracking and filing, preparing reports and completing process documentation.
- Assists with New Hire Orientation.
- Creates presentations and communication documents using Corporate Identity standards.
- Supports the updating and improving of processes in Global Assignments, which includes active involvement in discussions to maintain and improve the working model.
Qualifications:
- HR-relevant degree preferred.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task ad prioritize.
- Effective communication skills.
- German language preferred but not required.
- Spanish and Portuguese preferred but not required.
- Understanding of the different cultures within the Americas region preferred.
- Successful completion of previous internship/working student assignment within the BMW group (3-month period minimum).
- Current enrollment in Master program outside of the US or enrolled in the last semester of a Bachelor program outside of the US.
- Equivalent of 3.0 GPA.
