Synopsis Practice works in conjunction with a number of training and educational bodies across Europe to facilitate the activities on offer for anyone interested in an Erasmus+ work placement. These vocational work placements are organised and supervised by our team in Lisbon. Our experience, employer networks, and relentless dedication have resulted in a high number of successful placements over the years, with many students going into further training or employment.
Role Description
The participant will carry out a 13-week internship as an Assistant in Web and Graphic Design. They will be responsible for the improvement and maintenance of Synopsis Practice’s website and transform it into a web 2.0 platform disseminating information on the topics of intern placements and services provided by Synopsis. Additionally, the intern will assist their team members to curate visual elements for the publication of the projects. This may involve creating posters or brochures, or the graphic elements needed for audiovisual content such as animations or title graphs for the videos.
Required Applicant Profile
• Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge and experience of CMS systems such as WordPress (preferable) or Joomla.
• It is essential that you bring your own laptop and can install there the necessary tools/software
• This role involves a variety of tasks and working to deadlines. We are looking for candidates who are creative, flexible, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.
• English required. Knowledge of portuguese is preferable but not essential.
• Knowledge of AfterEffects Expressions for video animation is a plus.
What Capacity Ireland offers our participants
In order to support you during your work placement Capacity Ireland will provide you with the following
• €120 per week subsistence allowance
• Training course in Digital Marketing
• Shared apartment (your own bedroom, shared living spaces such as kitchen, living room and bathroom) Typically sharing with 2 other participants on the same programme.
• Language tuition – Online and Classroom based
• Flights to and from your destination (including airport transfers on arrival in your host city)
• Travel medical insurance for the duration of your stay
• Ongoing support and local pastoral care for the duration of your stay. Vocational Training Course As part of our Erasmus+ programme, all our participants are enrolled in a vocational training course in Digital Marketing & Entrepreneurship
• Lectures, guided group work and assessments will take place before and during your Erasmus+ remotely through your laptop.
• Lectures start before our participants begin their Erasmus+ , full timetable is available on our website – Start date, Wednesday 13th April (Evening classes)
• There will be several assignments and/or exams during the 3 months depending on which course you are in.
• It is mandatory for all participants to complete all aspects of the course before and during their Erasmus+ work placement.
