This Opportunity

Nationally recognized as a Top 100 Intern Program, WSP USA hosts hundreds of internships across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Your Impact

• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.

• Learn basic principles of electrical system design and become familiar with Revit.

• Perform basic calculations.

• Assist in analyzing data, such as energy and load calculations.

• Perform basic electrical engineering design and production and construction administration services.

• Assist in electrical engineering or/and other technical areas, such as supporting the technology or lighting groups.

• Complete training on assigned tasks.

• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. • Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.

 

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering, Undergraduate program.

• Coursework demonstrating an interest in engineering in the built environment.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.

• The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPs health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit and producing technical drawings is preferred.

• EIT License or LEED AP certification is a plus.

• Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
