The LUMC is a center of medical innovation that aims to improve patient care through internationally leading research. We work patiently and hospitably.

The population is aging, the number of chronic patients is increasing, the medical costs are rising, and there is a tension between technical possibilities and threats. The health of the world’s population is one of the greatest challenges of our time. The LUMC believes that this challenge requires a clear vision and mission. Interactive interplay between our core tasks is indispensable here.

Within the LUMC, students are prepared to innovate and learn for a lifetime. Researchers are inspired and test their findings directly in practice.
