Newcastle-Singapore Studentships for UK/EU and International Students in UK, 2017

University is inviting applications from outstanding UK/EU and International students for 2017 Newcastle – Singapore Studentships. Five studentships are available to pursue PhD projects and students in the fields of: Ageing and Digital Technologies, Computing Science, especially Cyber Security and Visualisation, Sustainability, including Energy and Water and Electrical Power and Marine Science and Technology, Physics

Newcastle University’s aim is to be a world-class research-intensive University and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.

The University is governed by a number of statutory bodies. The Executive Board comprises the senior management team that has oversight of the day-to-day running of the University.

Degree Level: Studentships are available to pursue PhD programme.

Available Subject: Applications in any science or engineering discipline are welcome but we particularly invite PhD projects and students in the fields of:

  • Ageing and Digital Technologies
  • Computing Science, especially Cyber Security and Visualisation
  • Sustainability, including Energy and Water
  • Electrical Power
  • Marine Science and Technology
  • Physics

Scholarship Benefits: Studentship of £20,000 per year for a maximum of 4 years will be awarded to the students.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for these studentships:

In partnership with NUS (National University Singapore), NTU (Nanyang Technological University Singapore) and A*Star Singapore, the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE) is inviting applications from talented students who have, or expect to receive, a good Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and who have a real passion for research.

Nationality: UK/EU and International students are eligible to apply for these studentships.
