ABOUT UNIVERSITY:
The University of Sussex is a public research university situated in Falmer, near Brighton in Sussex.[5] The university received its Royal Charter in August 1961,[6] and was a founding member of the 1994 Group of research-intensive universities promoting excellence in research and teaching.
The University of Sussex is offering PhD scholarship on ‘A global model of new contaminants in river systems’. UK, Europe (Non-UK), International (Non-UK/EU) students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
The main objectives of this PhD project are to extend a continental-scale water quality model, “WorldQual” to include key pharmaceutical chemical residues, and to use the extended model to estimate the current levels of these residues in world river systems.
Degree Level: Scholarship is available to pursue PhD programme.
Available Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Geography.
Scholarship Benefits: HEU fee waiver and RCUK stipend equivalents for 3.5 years.
Eligibility:
- A Masters degree in geography or related discipline. In exceptional circumstances, candidates with other backgrounds may be considered. Non UK applicants will need to demonstrate IELTS qualification with 6.5 overall and not less than 6.0 in each section (or equivalent.) Please note that applications are welcome from non-UK applicants on the understanding that the fee waiver is set at Home/EU rates only.
- Only full-time students will be accepted.
