PhD Scholarship: Youth and the Body for Domestic and International Students in Australia, 2017

Scholarship Description: The University of Newcastle is pleased to offer Ph.D. Scholarship: Youth and the Body through the Faculty of Education and Arts in Australia. This Scholarship is open to domestic and international students.

These projects are aimed at exploring the dynamics of youth embodiment in relation to work and study; socialites and relationships on- and off-line; body image and well-being; and intersecting inequalities including gender, sexualities, ethnicity, and class.

Degree Level: Scholarship is available to pursue PhD programme.

Available Subject: The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Newcastle is seeking applicants for a Ph.D. in Sociology.

Scholarship Benefits: The value of this scholarship is $26,682 per annum in 2017, indexed in January each year. The scholarship is for a period of three years, with the possibility of a six-month extension.

 

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

This Scholarship is open to domestic and international students. Minimum eligibility criteria: GPA of at least 5.25 out of 7, English Proficiency, Honours Class One or equivalent.
