Scholarship Description: The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences at the University of Edinburgh is inviting applications for PhD scholarships starting in the 2018/19 academic year. Scholarships are awarded in in any of three subject areas: Philosophy, Psychology and Linguistics & English Language (LEL).
About University: The University of Edinburgh is a charitable body, registered in Scotland, with registration number SC005336, VAT Registration Number GB 592 9507 00, and is acknowledged by the UK authorities as a “Recognised body” which has been granted degree awarding powers.
Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting satisfactory scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Degree Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD programme.
Available Subjects: Scholarships are awarded in in any of three subject areas: Philosophy, Psychology and Linguistics & English Language (LEL).
Eligibility Criteria: The successful applicant will have a very good undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and ideally will have, or will be studying for, a postgraduate masters degree (or equivalent). Existing doctoral researchers (i.e. those in their 1st or 2nd year of doctoral study) are not eligible for this award.
Eligible Countries: International applicants are eligible for the scholarship.
