Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for the joint postdoctoral research position in Sport & Exercise Medicine to study in South Africa. The area of postdoctoral research will be in the molecular and cellular basis of sport and exercise medicine.

The Institute of Sport and Exercise Medicine, better known as ISEM, is based at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University, Tygerberg, Cape Town, South Africa. ISEM offers several courses in Sport and Exercise Medicine while conducting ground-breaking research and translating this knowledge back to the community and the medical field.

Degree Level: Fellowships are available to study the postdoctoral research programme.

Available Subject: Fellowships are awarded in Sport & Exercise Medicine.

Eligible Nationalities: This fellowship is available for international students.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Applicants should have obtained a PhD degree in the past 5 years and have a strong background in exercise science, physiology, or molecular and cellular biology. A good understanding of exercise interventions in chronic disease states would be an advantage to the applicant.
