Scholarship Description: The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is pleased to offer Visiting Research Fellowships in Architecture for the year 2018. International applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.
This fellowship aims to enable outstanding researchers at any stage of their career to focus on researching major transformations in architecture and beyond.

Degree Level: This is a visiting research fellowship programme.
Available Subject: Fellowship is awarded within the Department of Architecture.
Scholarship Benefits: The fellows will ordinarily be expected to conduct the fellowship from January 1st, 2018 through December 31st, 2018. Applications for shorter fellowships will also be considered, but we expect a minimum stay of six months. Selected fellows will be employed at TUM and offered a salary (50-100% E13 TV-L; ranging from monthly 1.700 € to 4.200 € before tax; no additional travel costs will be reimbursed) for the duration of the fellowship. Fellows are obliged to work at our TUM campus. A fully equipped office will is provided.
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
TUM Department of Architecture is looking for candidates from a relevant discipline related to architecture from outside of TUM. Priority will be given to applications from female researchers and BauHow5 partners.
Eligible Nationalities: International applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.

- Cover letter explaining the motivation for the application
- Current curriculum vitae
- A research proposal of no more than 3,000 words. This should include plans for collaborations with members of the host institution.
- Candidates who already hold positions at academic institutions will also be required to submit a statement about their home institution’s policy with regard to sabbatical pay.
